‘T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn’ City Services Expo on May 7 at the Tacoma Dome
Wrapping up Public Service Recognition Week, which has been celebrated nationally in the first week of May since 1985, the City of Tacoma is hosting the “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo on Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Tacoma Dome. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.
Designed to be an interactive community event, the “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo will feature live performances, demonstrations, activities, games and prizes for the entire family. Children of all ages will also have an opportunity to meet Rhubarb from the Tacoma Rainiers, and see many types of City trucks and vehicles up close. There will also be a monster truck at the event.
The “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo is part of an ongoing effort to raise community awareness about the services delivered by the various departments at the City of Tacoma, educate the community about how city government works, and offer an opportunity for community members to share ideas and feedback about how the City should utilize its resources.
