Exit133 is about Tacoma

Opening in Tacoma’s Stadium neighborhood later this year: Indo Asian Street Eatery

A new restaurant is in the works for the long-vacant space in the Stadium District that once housed the Guadalajara Mexican restaurant. The same family that owns and manages Indochine downtown on Pacific and Indochine on Pearl at North 46th and Pearl now has plans for a new undertaking in the space on Tacoma Avenue.

It sounds like the new "Indo Asian Street Eatery" is going for a casual dining experience with a pan-Asian menu with a little bit of everything from Vietnamese banh-mi to Japanese yakitori skewers, alongside pork belly sliders and Thai rice and noodle bowls, among other dishes.

It's not the first restaurant that has been slated to go into the space. El Guadalara moved to make way for a rumored higher end Italian restaurant ... that didn't pan out, and the space sat empty for years. This newest plan sounds like it might happen, though. And for purely selfish reasons, we're really hoping it will.

I’ve pass by there maybe once a week, hoping it will soon open…I’m so excited to have good Thai right in the neighborhood.  And what an interesting flair…Thai Street Food.  Can’t wait for this Friday July 3rd, for the grand opening!!
