Professor and Alum’s Start-up Launches Video Game République

A 2003 UPS grad and his former professor are launching a new mobile device video game.

The pair funded the game, called République, through a Kickstarter campaign, raising $555,000 to launch the game, which "explores the perils of government surveillance in the Internet age."

Their company, called Camouflaj, had help from UPS computer science students in research for the game.

One review called the game "a gorgeous game that embraces the inherent traits of your iOS device, while also delivering a daring story drenched in themes of surveillance, voyeurism, and freedom."
