Rightsizing Streets to Create Great Public Spaces

The Project for Public Spaces has a guide to "Rightsizing Streets," which it hopes will help promote rightsizing as a means of improving streets for all users and creating a sense of place. The idea is to consider streets on a pedestrian scale, rather than just a motor vehicle scale, creating spaces that work for people as well as cars, while making the best use of public spaces.

What may be most interesting are the case studies of projects to "rightsize" streets and public spaces in cities around the country.

It has us wondering what spaces in Tacoma might be good candidates for "rightsizing..."
