Tacoma Stars return to professional ranks in MASL at ShoWare Center this Friday

The Tacoma Stars indoor soccer team is going pro. Yesterday the Stars officially announced that the team will replace the Seattle Impact in the Major Arena Soccer League.

The Stars will take over the lease of ShoWare Center in Kent, where they play their first MASL game tonight. In celebration of their new status, the Stars are offering half-price deals on tickets for tonight's game, and inviting kids 12 and under to watch them play for free.

A story from the Kent Reporter quotes team owner Lane Smith saying this about moving the Stars games to the Kent arena:

"The infrastructure makes it very easy to trade out ... I'm from Tacoma, I love Tacoma, ... I hope people will understand and accept that. I hope Tacoma fans circle around the brand and drive up to Kent."

Will you be making the drive?
