I-5 ramp and lane closures in Tacoma for HOV construction

Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10 
At 10 p.m., the southbound Interstate 705 on-ramp to southbound I-5 and the northbound State Route 7/I-705 exit to City Center will close until 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 10. 
At 11 p.m., the northbound I-5 collector/distributor exit to northbound I-705 will close until 4 a.m. Tuesday, March 10. 

The same overnight ramp closures will take place from Tuesday night, March 10 into Wednesday morning, March 11. 

Wednesday, March 11 
At 10 p.m., the southbound I-705 on-ramp to southbound I-5 will close until 6 a.m. Thursday, March 12. 
At 11 p.m., the northbound I-5 collector/distributor exit to northbound I-705 will close until 4 a.m. Thursday, March 12. 

Thursday, March 12 
At 11 p.m. the northbound SR 7 on-ramp to northbound I-5 and southbound I-705 on-ramp to southbound I-5 will close until 6 a.m. Friday, March 13. 

Friday, March 13 
At 12:01 a.m. on Friday, March 13, the northbound I-5 collector/distributor exit to northbound I-705 will close until 4 a.m. 

Lane closures 
From Monday through Thursday, March 9-13, overnight single lane closures will take place on northbound and southbound I-5 between M Street and Portland Avenue. The lanes will reopen each following morning. 

Continued around-the-clock ramp closures:

The Pacific Avenue on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 in downtown Tacoma will close until mid-March. Drivers will be detoured to I-5 via State Route 509 and Interstate 705.
Southbound Interstate 5 exit to State Route 7 remains closed until spring 2015.
Northbound SR 7 on-ramp to southbound I-5 remains closed until spring 2015 for bridge construction.
A-Street on-ramp to northbound I-5/southbound SR 7 remains closed until spring 2016 for bridge construction.
