Road Closures for Asphalt Repairs Sept. 1 – 4

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, through Friday, Sept. 4, the City of Tacoma’s Street Operations Division will perform street repairs at the following locations:

• Sept. 1 – 3: East Roosevelt Avenue from East 32nd to East 44th streets
• Sept. 4: Portland Avenue East from East 64th Street to Waller Road East

The repairs will involve grinding and repaving portions of the street, and result in a smoother and better preserved street.

On these dates these roads will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with detours in place and local and emergency access allowed. All repairs are weather dependent and rescheduling may be required, updates will be posted on pre-construction signs.
